Georgia Secured, Let's Get Minnesota Next
Finally some good news for the Republicans, Saxby Chambliss took Georgia with 58 percent of the vote. Now the Democrats will not have their filibuster proof Senate, something that has put the fire under the Republican base. With Georgia solved we are still looking at Minnesota and can only hope for a quick answer there as incumbent Norm Coleman takes on the former SNL sketch writer turned comedian turned author turned broadcaster now turned politic an Al Franken. The fight has been and still is tough. Coleman has vigorously fought off attacks from the Franken camp which has been fuel funded by the Moveon.org and other liberal machines. Chambliss has been in a month long duel with Democrat Jim Martin. The Georgia airwaves of both radio and TV have had a series of negative attack ads going for after Chambliss with unprecedented fury. To my friends, colleagues and the residents of Georgia, a heartfelt congratulations for the Chambliss win. Now we need to have Minnesota in our thoughts and prayers as the contested race starts its final approach, and with Norm Coleman the one at the helm.
